Section 02. Dioceses
The diocese is the local Church. The fundamental location of Catholic Evangelisation is the people of God in a certain territory gathered around their bishop. We are happy and honoured to work with the bishop and his colleagues in parishes and diocesan offices. All of the dioceses publish their own Directories which have information on parish life and other activities within the diocese. Most of the dioceses have websites (listed below where available) which also act as portals for such information. These will often have links to websites of local parishes.
Below are contacts in each diocese who have a particular responsibility for evangelisation and who are able to provide resources, training and support, or to be a point of referral for such resources, training and support. Where appropriate we have also highlighted specific examples of good practice or current initiatives within each diocese.
Dioceses also provide particular resources, training and support for young people. These are gathered together with other initiatives and agencies for young people in Section 5 of this Directory.
